The cornflower sprig pattern is sometimes referred to as “Angouleme sprig” since it was often manufactured at the Paris porcelain factory supported by the Duc d’Angouleme, Louis XVI’s nephew. The Niderviller factory is also associated with this popular design of the late 18th century. A set of similar design was used by the Custis-Lee family at Arlington House in the 19th century.
