Queen Elizabeth II’s Drop Scones

4 teacups flour

4 T sugar

2 teacups milk

2 eggs

2 Tsp b.c. soda

3 Tsp cream of tartar

3 T melted butter

Beat together the eggs, sugar, and about ½ of the milk. Add flour and mix well. Add milk as required; also b.c. [probably bicarbonate of soda] soda and cream of tartar. Fold in melted butter.
