By Albert M. Johnson

Albert Johnson was a trained engineer. He personally designed the first version of many of the Death Valley Ranch structures. The "commissary building" or annex contained his office and the apartment the Johnsons' ysed while their suite was under construction. It was also used by Scotty in the last two years of his life. Mr. Johnson often parked his Packard in the center of the 'garage.' The provisions refrigerator/freezer was adjacent.
