Dinner Ware
c 1930
Made by Catalina Island, USA
Often misidentified as Fiesta Ware, these Catalina Island dishes were used in the kitchen of Scotty’s Castle. This bright, solid colored dinnerware was first produced by Catalina Island and Brayton Laguna Pottery, two American companies. Tableware was first introduced by the Catalina Island Company in 1930 with three basic designs and interchangeable servingware offering flexibility and variety when creating a set of dishes. This was the Johnsons' everyday dinnerware.
