Dining Chair
Italy
This chair, also called a friar's chair, is widely seen in Italianate, Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival furnishings. The craftsman's talent and flair are evident in the carved human head finials, griffins and other decorative details. There is a stamped heraldry design in leather seat and back.
