Janet Sandburg, the Sandburg's second daughter, had an affinity for animals, and enjoyed work on the farm. She kept a daily diary of affairs at Connemara remarking on the weather, Sandburg's schedule, dinner guests, goat births, and basebal scores. She is seen here greeting her dad at the barnyard.
