The Sandburg Family

A variety of sources (letters, biographies, Sandburg poems) tell us that the Sandburg family was a close-knit and passionate family, each of whom was very independent in their thoughts and actions. This photo of the young family visiting Mrs. Sandburg's brother Edward Steichen at his Connecticut farm, was taken by the famed photographer himself.
