Kitchen
Using fresh vegetables from the garden or conservatory and meat from the farm or market, all meals were prepared in this kitchen, with the family rarely having a meal out. A simple but satisfying meal would be served in the dining room. This room only contained a sink and small counter when the Sandburg's moved in. Mrs. Sandburg had metal cabinets, a refirgerator and even a dishwasher installed. The oven came from their home in Michigan.
