Cast of Original Lincoln Life Mask

Carl Sandburg's granddaughter Paula was born after the six-volume biography of Lincoln was completed. However, living at her grandfather's house for seven years, the face of Lincoln was everywhere and, as a young child she believed he might be simply a relative whom she hadn't met yet: "His face was as familiar to me as Roy Rogers was to most children of the time."
