Gaming Piece
Ancestral Pueblo
Pueblo III - IV AD 1200 - 1550
This piece of a broken decorated pot has been trimmed to be circular. Gambling games appear in many present-day Pueblo legends, suggesting that games of chance and skill may have been popular pastimes in Ancestral Pueblo times. It is possible that this item was made for that purpose.
