Bowl
Bandelier Black-on-gray
Ancestral Pueblo
Pueblo IV. AD 1400 - 1550
Large, decorated bowls such as this were generally used for serving food. This example is decorated with carbon or vegetal paint, made from plants rather than minerals. Bandelier Black-on-gray and Sankawi'i Black-on-cream ceramic types are ancestral Tewa pottery styles.
