The Foghorn
September 1962
The Foghorn was a newsletter published by, and for Alcatraz officers and their families. It was named after the Coast Guard foghorn that was located on the island, and whose low wails were as familiar to island residents as the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline.
