Bar Spreader

Using a bolt, a nut, and a small piece of pipe, inmates involved in the 1946 “Blast-out” assembled this “bar-spreader.” They used it to pry apart the bars to the “gun gallery,” so that they could enter the gallery and obtain weapons.
