Photographs and hand-colored prints of five prominent African Americans hangs on the east wall in Mrs. Walker's library. George Washington Carver is on the top left and at bottom left reading a book is Booker T. Washington;. Both men worked together at Tuskegee Institute. Washington was the founder and president of the school and Carver was its most distinguished professor and inventor.
