As gifts from his Indian visitors increased, Cook proudly displayed them in his den. The ranch house quickly became an attraction for all passersby. The scene includes a portrait of Chief Red Cloud wearing the shirt that hangs below the portrait. This shirt (Catalog No. AGFO 439) is now in the museum collections at Agate Fossil Beds National Monument.
