Welcome to the web site for the Museum Resource Center (MRCE). The center is a new unit of the National Capital Region whose responsibility is to provide support for the museum collections of the National Park Service in the Washington, D.C., area. The center is staffed by professional curators who care for over one million objects in 40 collections. These natural and cultural objects are related to the National Parks and Historic Sites in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. A link to the listing of these parks is below.
