The Museum Resource Center (MRCE) serves as a resource in the storage and preservation of the park collections, providing guidance and assistance in caring for museum objects, related structures and exhibits. Archeologists with the National Capital Region Archeology Program's laboratory, which is housed at MRCE, provide the parks with insight on the historical evolution of the park and are involved in the identification of artifacts found on park grounds. This section will provide you a glimpse of the museum resources through an online encounter with portions of park collections that are maintained and preserved by MRCE. Additionally, more detailed discussions about archeology and preservation will be addressed in this section. Be sure to stop by periodically to see what has been added!
