Moving In

The Museum Resource Center / Regional Archeology Program Move Out!

CabinetsOur archeological type collection had been stored in museum cabinets like the ones pictured to the right. These objects allow students to view different known types of ceramics and glass, and to compare them with archeological artifacts.

Each item in the type collection had to be carefully cushioned for the coming move. Ceramics, like those pictured below, were nested in ethafoam and then secured in place with archivally-stable ribbon. All objects were then placed into either standard-sized or custom-made boxes for final transportation.
