The Museum Resource Center and Regional Archeology Program want you to explore this website to learn as much as you can about how they work within the National Park Service! To earn an EXPLORER CERTIFICATE you will need to play our games and correctly answer the quiz question at the end of each game. Here are some clues to help you get the information you need to find the games! Play them in this order if you want!

Would you ever think that the doll your dog buried in your backyard might someday help an archeologist discover something about our history? Archeologists sometimes use Playthings of the Past to understand how our culture has changed in America. What can a game from Africa and a battlefield tell us about the life of African-Americans during the Civil War? Archeologists "dug up" lots of clues about how slaves lived before, during and after the Civil War by looking at items that were Lost, Tossed and Found at Manassas National Battlefield Park.
