The Equestrian Statues, Aspiration and Literature, and Music and Harvest are the creations of sculptor James E. Fraser. The dedication ceremonies for the statues were held in Washington's West Potomac Park during the summer of 1951. The statues are located behind the Lincoln Memorial, where they flank the entrance to the Rock Creek/Potomac Parkway.
