July 3rd fireworks display held annually at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
 

Fireworks will be on July 3, not on July 4

The fireworks and Independence Day Celebration occured on Friday, July 3, 2009.

The celebration will continue on July 4 with the Brass and Blue Air Force band in the amphitheater at 7:30 pm leading up to the nightly Evening Program and Lighting Ceremony at 9:00 pm.

Did You Know?
Mountain Goats are not native to the Black Hills? The population can be traced back to six goats, a gift to Custer State Park by Canada in 1924, that escaped from their pens and found their home among the Black Hills granite peaks. There are now approximately 200 mountain goats in the area.
