From March 12th to May 21st, the Ford Mansion, Washington's Headquarters Museum, Jockey Hollow Visitor Center and Wick House will be closed on Wednesdays. This does not effect confirmed school groups. All park grounds will remain open. More »
Morristown National Historical Park is located approximately 30 miles from New York City in one of the most densely populated areas in the country.
Air quality elements are not measured in the park and air quality information is provided by the State of New Jersey from nearby monitoring stations.
The eight hour health standard for ozone is occasionally exceeded at the Chester, New Jersey air quality monitoring station located approximately ten miles from the park. Overall, during the last decade the air quality in New Jersey has been improving.

The Iroquois Confederacy was based in what is now northern New York and was initially comprised of the Seneca, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga and Mohawk nations. After 1720 the Tuscarora fled north from a series of decimating inter-tribal wars and became the sixth nation of the confederacy.
