Monocacy National Battlefield invites everyone to get to know their national parks during National Park Week with free admission to all national parks April 22 - 26.

This year's theme "Did You Know…" provides a fun way to explore America's national parks. For example, did you know that there are five national parks in Frederick County?

National Park Week is a good time to explore the national parks in Frederick's backyard - Monocacy National Battlefield, Catoctin Mountain Park, Appalachian National Scenic Trail, Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park, and Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. Visit these five national parks throughout the week and collect passport stamps to earn an Explorer Ranger pin at the Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor Center. The Visitor Center will also host a special exhibit on national park trivia.

Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor Center is open seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
