    Students will assume a variety of roles to discover the complexity of the issue of slavery as the cause of the Civil War; not as an instrument to free African-Americans from the bonds of slavery, but instead, the political, economic, and cultural differences related to the issue of slavery that led to Civil War. Lesson plans, powerpoint presentation, and research notes are included.
