The facilities and grounds of Montezuma Castle National Monument and Montezuma Well are closed each year on December 25. Both sites will reopen and welcome visitors at 8:00 a.m. MST on December 26.
Leave No Trace
Wilderness ethics dictate that visitors to the area try to leave no trace of their passage. While not regulations, the seven Leave No Trace principles will help you get the most out of your wilderness experience, and help you to preserve the park’s unique values for other visitors, both today and in the future.
Did You Know?
This beautiful white-barked tree is a favorite of visitors to Montezuma Castle National Monument. It is the Arizona Sycamore and was important to the Sinagua as well: the beams which you can see sticking through the walls of the Castle are original, placed about 800 years ago.
