Montezuma Castle Visitor Center

Entrance fees for Montezuma Castle are collected inside the park Visitor Center during normal business hours.

If you are planning a special event or activity at Montezuma Castle or Montezuma Well, please contact the Chief Ranger for information regarding special use permits.

Montezuma Castle Entrance Fees

Adults (16 and over): $5.00 (good for seven days)
Children (under 16): FREE

Passes are available at a discounted rate of $8.00 for both Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot National Monuments. If you are planning on visiting both parks, you may ask for this discounted pass, or you may use your $5 entrance fee pass from either monument for the $2 discount when you purchase your entrance fee at the second park. There is no entrance fee for visiting Montezuma Well.

Annual Pass

• $80 annual pass
• Available to everyone
• Can be obtained in person at Montezuma Castle National Monument or online through the USGS
• Non-transferable

Free Annual Pass for Military

• For active duty military personnel and dependents with proper identification (CAC Card or DD Form 1173)
• May be obtained starting on May 19, 2012.

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass

Senior Pass

• $10 Lifetime pass
• For U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
• May be obtained in person at Montezuma Castle National Monument or through the mail using this application form. The cost of obtaining a Senior Pass through the mail is twenty dollars ($20). Ten ($10) for the Senior Pass and ten ($10) for processing the application. Applicants must provide documentation of age and residency or citizenship.
• May provide a 50 percent discount on some amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services.
• Generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessioners.

Access Pass

• Free
• For U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities.
• May be obtained in person at a Tuzigoot National Monument or through the mail using this application form. The cost of obtaining an Access Pass through the mail is ten dollars ($10) for processing the application (the Pass is free). Applicants must provide documentation of permanent disability and residency or citizenship.
• May provide a 50 percent discount on some amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launching, and specialized interpretive services.
• Generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessioners.

Volunteer Pass

• Free
• For volunteers with 250 service hours with federal agencies that participate in the Interagency Pass Program.

Golden Access Passport
This pass has been discontinued and replaced by the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass– Access Pass

All National Parks Passes, Golden Eagle, Golden Eagle Hologram, Golden Access and Golden Age Passports will continue to be honored according to the provisions of the pass. Only paper Golden Age and Access Passports may be exchanged free of charge for new plastic passes.
