Montezuma Castle Visitor Center

Entrance fees for Montezuma Castle are collected inside the park Visitor Center during normal business hours. If you are planning a special event or activity at Montezuma Castle or Montezuma Well, please contact the Chief Ranger for information regarding special use permits. Montezuma Castle Entrance Fees Adults (16 and over): $5.00 (good for seven days) Passes are available at a discounted rate of $8.00 for both Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot National Monuments. If you are planning on visiting both parks, you may ask for this discounted pass, or you may use your $5 entrance fee pass from either monument for the $2 discount when you purchase your entrance fee at the second park. There is no entrance fee for visiting Montezuma Well.

Did You Know?
Up until 1951 visitors climbed a series of three ladders to enter the dwelling at Montezuma Castle National Monument. That same year Interstate 17 was completed and visitation skyrocketed. Concerns for both safety and the structure (which is 90% original) led to the removal of the ladders.
