Montezuma Castle National Monument
Be A Junior Ranger
Jr Ranger Acitivity

The Junior Ranger program at Montezuma Castle & Tuzigoot National Monuments is intended to help our young visitors be more aware of their surroundings and the relationship of the environment to the prehistoric people who inhabited the Verde Valley. Our Junior Ranger activity can be picked up and subsequently reviewed by a ranger at either Montezuma Castle or Montezuma Well.

If you like to be prepared, please feel free to print out the activity ahead of time. Click on, and download, both of the links below, though! One side is designed as the Bingo portion of the activity: when you see something from the sheet on our trail, you get to cross off that box. But once you cross it off, you must answer a question about that thing on the second page!

Completing the activity takes some time but the rewards are tremendous. Not only will Junior Rangers learn about all of the resources found in the monuments, they revieve an official Junior Ranger Badge and Certificate upon completion.

Special Note: There is no age limit to become a Junior Ranger. That means everyone is eligible to become an official Junior Ranger as long as they do the work and earn it!
