Dave Hokanson, Water Quality Program Director, Upper Mississippi River Basin Association (UMRBA)

Mr. Hokanson spoke on the role played by UMRBA as a regional interstate organization established to coordinate the Mississippi River-related programs and policies of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin, as well as relevant federal agencies. Mr. Hokanson also discussed the association's accomplishments, as well as the challenges associated with protecting the Mississippi's water quality within such a complex intergovernmental structure.
