Culver's Root
Veronicastrum virginicum

Description: Culver's Root is a handsome plant with white flowers in dense spikes. It grows to be 3 or 4 feet tall, and is often seen along roadsides. Culver's Root prefers mesic to wet conditions.

Planting: Best propagated by division because seeds are small and difficult to germinate. From seed, Culver's Root may take many years to become established. By division, transplants will be produced in one year. Divide mature plants and make sure each section has a root and a bud. Plant the sections in the fall or spring.
