The blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata) has many possible habitats. These include buildings, bridges, shrubs, small trees, feeders, overgrown fields, and forests. The blue jay always travels in pairs and sometimes in groups. Its diet consists mainly of insects, seeds, nuts, small amphibians, and invertebrates. Sometimes it has even been known to eat the eggs and young of other birds!
