Habitat Restoration Events
Join us for restoration events and make a difference in your community! Two Saturdays each month a ranger will lead an exploration of a river habitat. Learn about local ecosystems and native flora and fauna while restoring the habitat by removing invasive weeds or planting native grasses and flowers! This three hour event is ideal for anyone ages 4-104 who enjoys light gardening and learning about nature and local river history! Anytime Activities
A Ranger helps kids at the Mississippi River Visitor Center.
Visit any one of the visitor centers in the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, ask for a Junior Ranger booklet and investigate the visitor center and surrounding area to answer the booklet's questions to earn your Junior Ranger badge. more...
