Tours and Reservations

Ranger-guided tours take approximately thirty minutes and begin at park headquarters. Reservations for tours on Wednesdays (summer only) can be made up to one week in advance. Call 605-433-5552 to reserve your place in history!

For group reservations, including school or special programs, please contact the headquarters.

Summer Tours 2012 (May 1st - September 9th)
Ranger-guided tours are conducted throughout the day, seven days a week. For tours on Wednesdays only, visitors can make reservations up to seven calendar days in advance. For all other tours tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis at the contact station.

Fall Tours (September 10th through October 31st)
Ranger-guided tours are available daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Winter and Spring Tours (November 1st through April 2012)
Ranger-guided tours are available daily (as staffing permits) at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Tours will be cancelled if on-duty staff detemine that road conditions to Delta-01 or Delta-09 are unsafe due to weather conditions.
