Holiday Hours At Minuteman Missile National Historic Site
During the upcoming holiday season, Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will be closed on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014 and New Years Day, January 1, 2015. The Minuteman Missile Visitor Center, Launch Control Facility Delta-01 and Launch Facility (Missile Silo) Delta-09 will also be closed on these days.

Minuteman Missile Moving Into New Visitor Center
Minuteman Missile National Historic Site is moving into its new visitor center and beginning operations at the facility on Monday, November 24th. The new visitor center is on the north side of exit 131, Interstate 90. It is easily recognizable from the highway. The park has been headquartered out of a temporary facility on the south side of the same exit for over a decade. The new facility contains 7,300 square feet of space and will eventually contain 2,500 square feet of exhibits interpreting the Cold War and the Minuteman Missile weapons systems role in during the period in our nation’s history.

Minuteman Missile To Open Seven Days a Week For Summer Season
Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will begin opening seven days a week starting Monday, June 16th. Ranger-guided tours of the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility and underground Launch Control Center will now be offered every day of the week. The Minuteman Missile Visitor Contact Station will also be open seven days a week from 8:00 – 4:30 p.m. Launch Facility (Missile Silo) Delta-09 will be open for self-guided audio tours during this time. These hours will continue until the end of September when the park will return to being open on weekdays for the fall and winter seasons.

Minuteman Missile To Conduct Community Meetings Regarding Guided Tour Fees
Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will begin community engagement to solicit public feedback on the park’s proposed amenity fee for Ranger-guided tours of the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility and underground Launch Control Center. If approved by the Director of the National Park Service, the fee for guided tours would be implemented in calendar 2015.
