Self Guided

Students and costumed park ranger at Minute Man Visitor Center

When on a self-guided visit to the park, we recommend you start by viewing our multimedia show, "The Road to Revolution." This 25 minute program provides an excellent introduction to the story of April 19, 1775.

If you are visiting with a group of 15 people or more, we strongly suggest you make a reservation. Reservations are free of charge. Call (978) 318 - 7832 or email.

Reservations for Spring 2013 are now open. Autumn 2013 and Spring 2014 open June 1, 2013.

If you are visiting between Memorial Day weekend and the last weekend in October, you are most welcome to attend one of our daily ranger programs, offered free to the public. No reservations are required.

Did You Know?

militia muster

Often considered "ragtag" by the British regular army, the Massachusetts colonial militia was actually very well organized. With a few exceptions, able-bodied men between 16 and 60 years of age were required to serve. They were the main line of defense for the colony for nearly 150 years before the Revolution.
