Tickets
Be sure to make the Far View Visitor Center your first stop if you wish to visit Cliff Palace, Balcony House, or Long House. If you plan to visit any of these three cliff dwellings, you must purchase tickets here first. *

* After the Far View Visitor Center closes in October, Cliff Palace tour tickets must be purchased at the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum.

Location
Far View Visitor Center is located 15 miles from the park entrance.


Exhibits
Historic Native American jewelry, pottery, and basket displays. Nordenskiold exhibit.


Available Facilities
Tickets for cliff dwelling tours (Cliff Palace, Balcony House, and Long House) are purchased here. Bookstore and restrooms are located at the visitor center. The Far View Lodge, restaurant, cafeteria, and gift shop are located near the visitor center.

Did You Know?
Approximately 600 of the over 4700 archeological sites found in Mesa Verde National Park are cliff dwellings. Other sites include mesa top pueblos, farming terraces, towers, reservoirs, and check dams.
