The shallow seagrass habitat of Snake Bight, a popular fishing area near Flamingo recently became a poll and troll zone. If you plan on making a trip to Snake Bight please remember that internal combustion motors may only be used in designated channels and the Jimmy’s Lake idle speed no wake area. You’ll need a push pole, paddle or electric trolling motor to get around the rest of Snake Bight. It might take a bit more time to get around, but it’ll help protect those seagrass beds that make Snake Bight so popular with fishermen, and the fish!
