Large Wood Redistribution

Description

On Tuesday large woody debris was moved from the former shoreline of Lake Mills to the newly exposed valley below. The redistributed wood will help to minimize erosion of fine sediments, hold moisture in the soil for new seedlings, and provide shade and nutrients to new vegetation taking root in the former lakebed.
