Javelina (Pecari tajacu)

Description

Javelinas, or collared peccaries are common in the park and nearby areas. They live in groups of 4-20 and are opportunistic omnivores, mostly known for eating prickly pear cactus. Despite their appearance, they are not in the pig family.
