Pea Ridge National Military Park. Cannons mark the Leetown Battlefield at Pea Ridge National Military Park, the location of the first day of fighting during the Civil War battle of 1862. The character and features of the landscape, with its open agricultural fields, wooded areas, and nearby settlements, influenced the movements and outcomes of the conflict.
Confederate forces lost three commanders of the Mcculloch Division at Leetown Battlefield: General McCulloch, General McIntosh, and Colonel Hebert.
