Image of a press clipping found in NAACP papers in Topeka, Kansas as notated from the Topeka, Kansas Capital: "Support is Pledged. Financial and moral support of the Topeka chapter of the National association for the advancement of colored people was pledged to George Wright and other colored citizens of Topeka who have filed suit against the Topeka board of education, at a mass meeting of the association yesterday in the Calvary Baptist church. M.J. Burton, president, presided at the meeting. Suit was filed in the district court recently alleging that the board illegally transferred children of several colored families from the Gage school district over to Buchanan schools. The association voted to ask the national organization for aid if it were needed."
