Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site Announces New Winter Hours
Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site will begin its winter hours of operation on November 1, 2009. The site will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through February 28, 2010. Beginning March 1, 2010, the site will return to summer operating hours, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

National Park Service Offers Special Programs For National Public Lands Day
Join Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site and Richmond National Battlefield Park on Saturday, September 26, 2009 for the 16th annual National Public Lands Day and help us care for Richmond’s public lands. National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy.

National Park Service to Commemorate 145th Anniversary of Maggie L. Walker's Birthday
Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site and the Maggie L. Walker Historical Foundation will commemorate Maggie Walker’s birthday, Saturday, July 18, 2009. Join us at 2 pm at Third St. Bethel AME Church located at 616 N. 3rd St. Richmond, VA 23223. Immediately following the program share cake and punch at Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site located at 600 N. 2nd St.
