National Park Service Announces Visitor Center Holiday Closures

In observance of the upcoming holidays, Richmond National Battlefield Park and the Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site visitor centers will close early on December 24, and will remain closed all day on December 25, 2007. They will also be closed on January 1, 2008, New Year’s Day.

Visitor centers at the Chimborazo Medical Museum, Tredegar Iron Works, Cold Harbor and Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site will close at 2:00 pm on December 24, and will reopen at 9 am on December 26. Park offices will also be closed December 24, 25 and January 1. Park grounds will remain open sunrise to sunset throughout the holidays.
