In northern New Mexico, a maze of canyons divides the Pajarito Plateau into scenic mesas and a recreational wonderland. At J. Robert Oppenheimer’s urging, the Manhattan Project established its top-secret lab on one of the mesas. Like those before, visitors to Los Alamos can enjoy the desert trails, expansive vistas, and plentiful wildlife. |
