Manzanar National Historic Site

The 814 acre site is open every day from dawn to dusk.

Interpretive Center

Summer hours (April 1 - October 31) 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Winter hours (November 1 - March 31) 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Closed December 25

Did You Know?
Sadao Munemori was the only Japanese American to be awarded the Medal of Honor during World War II. While he fought and died in Italy, his family was confined at Manzanar.
