Oral History

Manzanar National Historic Site has collected more than 350 oral history interviews since 1999. Manzanar's oral histories are used for educational and research purposes, and are preserved at the Manzanar National Historic Site archives.

Two thirds of the Japanese Americans interned at Manzanar were American citizens. Most others would have become citizens if it were legally possible.
