    The museum at the Henry Hill Visitor Center is closed due to the installation of a fire protection system in the exhibit area. The visitor center and gift shop remain open daily and the park film is shown hourly. More »

The most important issue that natural resource managers face at Manassas National Battlefield is the protection and preservation of the local environment. When considering the local environment, the integrity of both natural and cultural resources must be evaluated. Projects that are currently underway address issues such as non-native plant species, plant and animal pests, restoration of scenic vistas and the water quality of ponds and streams with in the park.

Veterans of the First Battle of Bull Run celebrated the Manassas National Jubilee of Peace in 1911. The event commemorated the 50th anniversary of the battle, and was attended by thousands of people. President William H. Taft delivered the keynote address in downtown Manassas.
