Alcohol Policy at Mammoth Cave NP
|
The consumption of alcoholic beverages in all public buildings in the park, aboard all vessels carrying passengers for hire, and in all caves is prohibited, except the consumption and/or possession of alcohol at concessions facilities and park facilities as authorized by the Superintendent. Edmonson, Hart, and Barren Counties are "dry", except for Cave City, in which individual restaurants may serve alcoholic beverages by the glass. |
Did You Know?
Native Americans of the Early Woodland period gathered minerals from Mammoth Cave between 2,000 and 4,000 years ago ... no one knows why. Objects they left behind – slippers, cane torches, gourds, and mussel shells – remain perfectly preserved in the cave.
