Longfellow House - Washington's Headquarters National Historic Site is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just a short walk from Harvard Square. Here you can learn about the history of slavery and freedom in New England, the life of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and his impact on US national identity, George Washington's stay in the house during the Siege of Boston in 1775-1776, historic preservation, LGBTQ+ history, and other complex stories from over 200 years of American History.
