Be A Junior Ranger

The Junior Ranger Program is designed to help educate children about the significance of Abraham Lincoln's life in southern Indiana. The program consists of viewing the 15 minute park orientation film, visiting the gravesite of Nancy Hanks Lincoln and the Cabin Site Memorial and to complete an activity booklet. When these activities are completed, the participant receives a Junior Ranger certificate, badge and patch.

Did You Know?
Much of the early development of the park was done in the 1930s by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps.One of its most notable accomplishments was the excavation of the Lincoln cabin hearthstones.Pictures of the stones and articles on the discovery appeared in numerous newspapers in 1934.
