Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Headquarters Announces Holiday Closings
The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail announces closures during the upcoming holiday season. The Trail visitor center at 601 Riverfront Drive in Omaha, Nebraska, will be closed December 25 and 26, 2008, and January 1, 2009.
President Bush issued an Executive Order declaring Friday, December 26, 2008, a Federal holiday. All Departmental offices will be closed and employees excused from duty on that day. Regular business hours for the Trail visitor center, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, will continue for all other days throughout the holiday season, subject to weather conditions.
Please visit during regular business hours to learn more about the National Park Service, the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, and to plan your next vacation to the special places in America preserved for the enjoyment of all. Purchase your Senior pass or your America the Beautiful passes, or apply for an Access pass before your next trip to America’s National Parks.
The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail is one of 21 units of the National Trails System administered by the National Park Service, whose mission is to preserve and educate citizens about places significant to our national heritage.
